My Cushions and Pillows Project!

Yesterday I finished the first part of a big project, one piano seat cushion with ties and velcro flap in the back.

5 mix and match pillows, my favorite thing to make and
6 dining chair covers with ties on each side and overlap opening in the back.
Here are all 6 and then I rewarded myself with a cute iPod cover.......

Isn't it darling? A colorful cover for my colorful songs.........................

Spicy nut mix

I read the recipe in a Health Magazine yesterday at my Dr. office. I made it right after i came home and it is so yummy that now I can't stop eating it.

Spicy Nut Mix

2 cups Dry roasted peanuts, unsalted or lightly salted
1 Big juicy Lime
2 tsp. Chili powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup Golden raisins
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots

In a bowl measure dry roasted peanuts, squeeze lime juice on it and add chili powder to it. mix it together. Heat your toaster oven or regular oven to 250 F and toast the chili crusted peanuts in a tray for 25- 30 min..stirring every 10 minute.
While peanuts are toasting, dry roast pumpkin seeds in a big frying pan stirring constantly until all the pumpkin seed are puffed up and golden and crunchy.
Once peanuts are dry and crusted with chili, mix every thing together in a bowl.

Oh so yummy and super spicy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Kitchen Cactus Garden!!

These cactus bloom so happily on my Kitchen window sill!

I bought these cactus in a 1" tiny baby pot from Home depot and Trader Joe's and now they are huge. I love em.

Thanks to all my friends who thought that I like cactus more than roses and added to this collection.

I guess they love Oregon weather, no sun for 9 months!!!!

Chair Makeover!!

This is the original Chair. It was in a bad shape with very old frying fabric.

Look how pretty it looks now. My customer wanted it to be for her little daughter, but the fabric she picked was black with gold design, so i hand sewed a fun pink trim for a cute look.

Ahhh! Comfy..

Memory Quilt for Sujata

I made this memory quilt for my sweet friend Sujata. She was going to India for her parents' 50th Anniversary and she wanted to give something unique and memorable. I printed all these pictures on photo fabric and arranged them with other meaningful things about her parents and designed this quilt.
